Tattoo artist with gloves applying Roman numeral tattoo on wrist

The Process

Preparing for your session is just as important as the tattoo itself to ensure your skin is ready and your body can handle the sit. Start by staying well-hydrated and moisturizing the area for a few days leading up to your appointment, but avoid applying lotion on the actual day. Get a solid night’s sleep and eat a substantial, carb-heavy meal about two hours before you arrive to keep your blood sugar stable.

When you head to the studio, make sure to bring:

• A valid photo ID: (Required for consent forms).

• Comfortable clothing: Wear something that allows easy access to the area being tattooed and that you don't mind getting a little ink on.

• Sugary snacks and drinks: Think fruit, chocolate, or juice to help if you feel lightheaded.

• Entertainment: Headphones, a book, or a fully charged phone to help pass the time.

• A reusable water bottle: Staying hydrated during the process helps with pain management and recovery.

Have you got an idea for tattoo but dont really know how it’ll look?

Most of the time we will get sent a message through instagram or Facebook with an idea and some reference pictures then our artist will then work with you directly to perfect your idea and make sure you get something customer and unique to you and something you are 100% happy with.

Then we need to book you in! We charge a non-refundable booking fee of £50.00, this secures your appointment and will be deducted from the overall price of your tattoo. If you need to change your appointment date/time your booking fee will be rolled over to your next appointment.

We charge £80.00 per hour for a tattoo and we will always give you a quote during your consultation of how much your tattoo will cost you.

Proper aftercare is the final stage of the artistic process; how you treat your tattoo over the next two weeks determines how vibrant and crisp it stays for years to come. Your artist will explain this to you on the dayt but once you leave the studio, keep your wrapping on for the recommended time—usually a few hours—to protect the open skin from bacteria. When it’s time to clean it, use only your clean fingertips and a fragrance-free, antibacterial soap to gently wash away any plasma or excess ink, then pat it dry with a fresh paper towel. Avoid submerging the tattoo in water (no baths, pools, or saunas) and keep it out of direct sunlight until it is fully healed.

Key Aftercare Rules:

• Moisturise Lightly: After 24–48 hours, apply a very thin layer of artist-recommended ointment or unscented lotion twice a day. Over-moisturising can "suffocate" the tattoo and lead to breakouts.

• Hands Off: As the tattoo heals, it will likely itch and flake. Do not pick or scratch the scabs, as this can pull the pigment out of your skin and cause patchy healing.

• Wear Loose Clothing: Avoid tight fabrics that might rub against the tattoo and cause irritation or friction.

• No Sunscreen (Yet): Don't apply sunscreen to a fresh tattoo. Once it’s fully healed, however, SPF is your best friend to prevent the ink from fading over time.

FAQs

How Do i book an appointment?

Most of the time people will book in via our social media pages however you can come directly into the studio to book, give us a call on (01395) 225094, drop us a WhatsApp to 07481850773 or fill in the form on our contact page. We will always try and reply to you within 48 hours.

Why the booking Fee and why is it non-Refundable?

The Booking Fee secures your appointment, it’ll be deducted from the total amount of your tattoo. You can change your appointment up to 48 hours prior to it however if we’re not given this notice you will lose your booking fee and have to pay another one in order to make another booking. This protects us as we may not have enough time to get someone else in for that appointment slot.

What’s Your Waiting List Like?

Waiting times can vary however the most you’d be looking at is a month. Saturday’s are our busiest days and these tend to get booked up fast! If you’re after a Saturday get in quick!

Do you Do Cover ups?

We can and we do, what we would normally do is ask you for a picture of the existing tattoo you would like to be covered up and then discuss with you how best it can be hidden or maybe incorporated into a new piece of tattoo art.

What time do you close?

We don’t have a set time but we do have children and some days of the week we do need to do the school run so on these days the shop will be closed from 14:30pm. This is one of the reasons why we are an appointment only studio.
